Blog Tour: Fire on Ice by Jeremy C. Holm

Fire on Ice: Gospel Lessons Learned from a Lifetime of Sports
by Jeremy C. Holm

I'm not a huge sports fan, but there are definitely times that I get caught up in inspirational sports stories. Having Fire on Ice released right now with the Olympics going on is great timing. This isn't the kind of book that sucks me in from start to finish (non-fiction rarely does that for me), but I enjoyed reading a section here and there, and particularly enjoyed the short athletic experiences that were shared, along with the lessons that were learned from them. Tying those lessons into a spiritual connection seems like a great idea, especially for big sports fans.

Book Description:

Racing down an icy track at 80 miles per hour leads you to think of many things. For Jeremy C. Holm, it made him think of God. In Fire and Ice, Holm shares his experiences as a bobsled pilot and coach, presenting a message of faith and personal courage that will inspire you to come closer to Jesus Christ and reach for that ultimate prize of eternal life.

About the Author:

Author, journalist, motivational speaker, graphic designer and avid bob sledder, Jeremy Holm is a man of many talents. A student of World War II history and a connoisseur of books, Jeremy sees his books as old friends. As a motivational speaker he enchants his audience with stories of his academic achievements, athletic adventures and hilarious experiences from the life of a single college student. One of Jeremy’s greatest desires is to help each person find the courage to go after their own dreams, or as he says, their own personal “Olympics” in life.
