Blog Tour: The Lost Lieutenant by Erica Vetsch

The Lost Lieutenant (Serendipity & Secrets #1)
Book Description:

He's doing what he can to save the Prince Regent's life . . . but can he save his new marriage as well? Evan Eldridge never meant to be a war hero--he just wanted to fight Napoleon for the future of his country. And he certainly didn't think that saving the life of a peer would mean being made the Earl of Whitelock. But when the life you save is dear to the Prince Regent, things can change in a hurry.

Now Evan has a new title, a manor house in shambles, and a stranger for a bride, all thrust upon him by a grateful ruler. What he doesn't have are all his memories. Traumatized as a result of his wounds and bravery on the battlefield, Evan knows there's something he can't quite remember. It's important, dangerous--and if he doesn't recall it in time, will jeopardize not only his marriage but someone's very life.

Readers who enjoy Julie Klassen, Carolyn Miller, and Kristi Ann Hunter will love diving into this brand-new Regency series filled with suspense, aristocratic struggles, and a firm foundation of faith.

Book Review:

I admit I was a little worried about reading this book. The description sounded interesting, and the cover was catchy, but I've never heard of this author before, or this publisher, so I was a little leery. I am glad to announce that that was a misguided worry. The Lost Lieutenant was well written and very entertaining.

As weird as it may sound, one of my favorite parts of the book was when the author took us to Tattersalls. I've read many many books that mention Tattersalls, but I've never read anything where we actually get to go to Tattersalls and see a little bit of what happens there. Granted, it wasn't a big scene, and it didn't last long, but I was enthralled with it anyway. Actually, I loved that she included the Prince Regent too. Again, lots of stories mention him, but he is actually in this book, and it's fun.

I loved Evan, and my heart went out to Diana. Nothing was really surprising that happened in the story, but I love that about a story.

I would definitely read this again, and I would recommend it to my book reading friends.
