Book Description:

‘Til the end of the show do us part

Letty McDonnell—a hug first and ask questions later kind of gal—stumbles into an unexpected scandal with her favorite K-pop star when she spots him at the airport. Is it bad timing or a blessing in disguise? The international publicity leads to a job offer from the reality show Marry My Stalker, where the two pretend to be man and wife as they complete a variety of crazy couple missions.

Wacky challenges, jealous fangirls, and a language barrier can’t slow Letty down. Especially when she has handsome translator, Ben Park, whispering in her ear. He steers her away from cultural faux pas and offers behind-the-scenes encouragement as she maneuvers the unfamiliar public arena. But is he sincerely interested or just doing his job? The affectionate words her fake husband says for the cameras are always repeated by Ben’s caring voice, and Letty begins to wonder if a romance without spotlights or red carpets is the real path to true love.

Review:

I LOVED Letty in the first book in this series and was so happy that the author wrote a story featuring her. Her bubbly personality is so very different from mine, but she's the type of person I tend to gravitate towards (probably because their outgoingness completely makes up for my lack of it.)

Again, I know absolutely nothing about Korean dramas or K-pop stars - but I was a huge NKOTB fan in my younger years, so maybe I can relate in a small way.

The story is a very quick read - I finished it in just a few hours- and there are so many fun, quirky parts in it that I was laughing out loud or grinning like a goon through a large part of the book.

Just like in the last story, the author does a great job of bringing all of the characters to life, and they all make the story what it is.  The reader gets a first-hand look at Korean "reality" television and there honestly weren't that many surprises to me. I'm pretty sure most reality TV is scripted.

I keep getting sidetracked, but if you read the first book and enjoyed it, I think you'll like this one even more. With Letty on the loose, how can you not?
