Book Review:
I've seen these bracelets around town and i thought this would be fun for my 9 yr. old to try out. I was a little skeptical though...she got a book for Christmas and it was complicated and not explained well. I thought before I showed it to her I would try it out first and see. I tried a couple patterns. I didn't try the ones that looked more complicated, and some required an extra loom, which I didn't have, but I was satisfied that m 9 yr. old would be able to do this. My favorite was "God's Promise to Man Kind" I thought it was pretty and was super simple to do.
My daughter, with a little bit of help, was able to do "Faith like a Mustard Seed" and "Let Your Light Shine". It seems like she did another one, but I can't remember which one it was. We didn't have the colors they used in the book so she picked whatever colors she felt like using.
This turned out to be a hit. She made some for her siblings, and her cousins, who ended up giving it to their dad for his birthday....and he wore it all day :)
Some parts were slightly confusing, but all in all I liked the pictures and the step-by-step instructions. If you know some people who are into these bands, this is a pretty good book for those starting out.
