So You Want to See the World? Written and Illustrated by Jason Pruett
Send your favorite graduates off on their next adventure! Full of quirky illustrations and fun rhyming text, this book is a great way to recognize all they've accomplished and show them that you're confident they'll succeed in the future. Whether they're heading out into the world or staying close to home, help them mark this important milestone with this inspirational and encouraging gift.
The first thing my kids said when we read it was, "It's like Dr. Seuss!" We are a huge Dr. Seuss fan here so that was fun. I'll also admit to loving books that rhyme. I think they are fun to read and I have loads of appreciation for someone who can not only write, but then make it rhyme. I think that takes a lot of talent.
My kids loved the illustrations. On each page my youngest would spend lots of time looking for something that would become her "favorite". It wasn't just my youngest who enjoyed this book though. All of my kids have read it and they all enjoyed the details you can find on each page.
If you love Oh, the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss, you should definitely check out So You Want to See the World? by Jason Pruett. It has a similar message and look to it. The illustrations are very well done, and I thought it was fun that it includes the seven wonders of the world and signs with actual places around the world.
I can see this being a fun story to read with your little ones, or something to give to a graduate.
Dr Seuss is my all-time favorite children's author. The world lost a great person when he passed away. Because of that, I was excited to review this book, as it is very Dr Seuss-ish. The fun rhymes, the illustrations, all of it. It's a fun book about getting out and exploring all the wonderful things this world has to offer.
My children were kept entertained by this book, and my younger two have read it multiple times. This is definitely a keeper.
