How to Take the Ex Out of Ex-Boyfriend

Sometimes a title does a great job of telling what a book is about. That is the case with How to Take the Ex Out of Ex-Boyfriend. Giovanna dumps Jesse when he chooses to help with the popular boy's campaign instead of her twin brother's campaign. This is an obvious breach of loyalty. However, Dante (her twin) doesn't seem to be bothered by the misaligned loyalty, and it doesn't take long for Giovanna to realize that she wants Jesse back.

I was hooked with the first paragraph:

"I bet you Cinderella didn't get along with Prince Charming's friends. Oh sure, the knight and barons probably put up with her on account that she was pretty and has such dainty feet and all, but you know every duchess and countess in the kingdom hated her guts. That's how women are when someone encroaches on their turf."

Cliques, politics, horrible blind dates, dissected frogs, a wicked step-mother, and several misunderstandings make for a fun story.
